Title: From Nature in Hebrew Poetry
25.5.2022 – 28.8.2022 I am taking part in a group exhibition of work by members of the Israeli artists Association of Beer Sheva and the Negev. The photo shows me next to my painting, ‘Song of Songs’.
I took a verse from the Song of Songs (7:13) for the inspiration for my digital artwork –
יג. נַשְׁכִּ֨ימָה֙ לַכְּרָמִ֔ים נִרְאֶ֞ה אִם פָּֽרְחָ֤ה הַגֶּ֨פֶן֙ פִּתַּ֣ח הַסְּמָדַ֔ר הֵנֵ֖צוּ הָֽרִמּוֹנִ֑ים שָׁ֛ם אֶתֵּ֥ן אֶת־דֹּדַ֖י לָֽךְ:
Let us arise early to the vineyards; let us see whether the vine has blossomed, the tiny grapes have developed, the pomegranates have lost their flowers; there I will give you my love.
